[Lance admittedly has the worst urge to give into his kneejerk reaction to tell Thace to fuck off, but he is pretty sure that'll get back to Shiro and he's already in the middle of one conversation stemming from the auction with Shiro. No need to make it any longer.]

Snarling was uncalled for. I allowed my control over my emotions and expressions slip, and for that I apologize.

I've also been made aware that that expression is one of imminent threat of harm to humans, so again, I apologize if you were concerned for your welfare. I never intended physical or emotional harm, and would never raise a hand in violence towards you or any of the Paladins of Voltron.

[In all honesty, Lance would love to believe Thace. He has tried his very best to deal with (read: ignore) the fallout from war. Between losing his home, his family, friends, it would be unfair to cover the entire slate with an intense hate for every single one of them.

But distrust? That's what he has here. He doesn't know Thace. Not like Keith does and Lance still doesn't really know which Galrans to fully trust and which ones to give a wide berth anymore. Especially those who were living a dual life. Like Thace.]

[Well, both really, but while Lance might be a dumbass, he isn't exactly about to admit he finds Thace jumping to snarling unsettling, especially for what Lance still considers an off the cuff trollish comment. He's aware enough that letting what could be potential opponent have so much ammo is a clown move. And that any reprimands from Galrans just sting a little bit--okay, a lot--more than it would from anyone else.

The scolding I cannot and will not apologize for.
